Shine Community Church was born out of a love for community and a desire to reach the world with the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
Our history is not just merely the story of one man wanting to plant a church in a local community, but it is a rich, full 200 year old story beginning at Hephzibah Baptist Church in Wendell, North Carolina. Hephzibah has been a faithful member of its town and community since 1809, bringing hundreds to Christ and traveling locally and abroad on mission for the Gospel.
Hephzibah Baptist Church continues to be a thriving, mission-centered body and we are excited to know them as our sending church. HBC's leadership believes that God is going to grow exponentially His kingdom through the efforts of our church planting over the next twenty years. The mission is to plant twenty churches in twenty years, and Shine Community Church is the first!
